Processing of data in case of communication towards us 

Due to our statutory obligation under § 5 para. 3 of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz) WomanInc’s website contains information which makes it possible to contact our company quickly in electronic form and to directly communicate with us. If you decide to contact us, for example via e-mail or via the contact form, the personal data you transmitted is automatically stored in order to process your request. The legal basis for such processing and storage is Art. 6 para. 1, lit. c) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The data you communicated via our contact form or mail will not be transferred to third parties. It will only be stored as long as we need to deal with your request.

Use of Newsletters 

We send newsletters if you signed up for them. If the content of such newsletters is described when you sign up, we only sent newsletters with the content you agreed to. We use the double-opt-in-process for signing you up. This means that once you signed up, you receive an additional email asking you to verify whether you personally signed up. You may, at any time, withdraw your consent to let us process your email address and other data in order to send newsletters. 

We use the third party provider “MailChimp” to send such Newsletters. MailChimp is provided by Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. MailChimp may receive your identification and contact data (name, date of birth, gender, general, occupation or other demographic information, address, title, contact details, including email address), personal interests or preferences (including purchase history, marketing preferences and publically available social media profile information; as well as IT information (IP addresses, usage data, cookies data, online navigation data, location data and browser data). Such information is stored and processed on MailChimp’s servers in the US. In connection with the performance of its services for us, MailChimp employs the use of cookies, unique identifiers, web beacons and similar tracking technologies ("Tracking Technologies").

The legal basis of processing your data in order to sent you newsletters is Art. 6 para. 1, lit. a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The legal basis for the use of tracking technologies is Art. 6 para. 1, lit. f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA.
